Mitch Collins here. I live in Chattanooga, Tennessee, but have spent the past 20 years visiting the Forgotten Coast and consider the area my home away from home. When Hurricane Michael hit the area, I felt helpless, as this area I loved had so many needs and I was unable to be a part of the solution, so I turned to my songwriting to summarize the emotions in the moment and wrote Strong. At the time, I really did not know or even think this was something that might benefit the people in this area, but hopefully it might lift their spirits.
