JC Covey's debut EP was released on March 3, 2012 and includes six songs from his very first group of recordings completed at Sound Masters Studios of Las Vegas with Talbot Snow. Since its release over 12 years ago, JC's original music from this project has been streamed in 56 countries world-wide and continues to be streamed today. The most popular track streams have included "Big Black Train" and "Brothers First, Not Last," the latter of which is featured on JC's new Live Blues Album, "Strumcussion Blues," available on this platform starting April 19, 2024.
Originally from "The New River City" of Radford, Virginia and now based in Henderson, Nevada, JC Covey creates and delivers acoustic blues music in his own unique style he refers to as “strumcussion," a term he coined for the percussive-like rhythm-and-riff guitar approach he naturally developed over the years. This style interwoven with his driving harmonica and raspy vocal helps produce an energy-filled performance sound he hopes many will appreciate.
