Broken Hart's is dedicated in loving memory of the Hart children- Abigail, Hannah, Markis, Seirra, Jeremiah and Devonte Hart. They lost their lives on March 26, 2018 when their adoption mother Jen Hart purposefully drove their family van off a cliff in Mendocino, California. This song addresses the festival communities the Hart Family were regular attendees of, and the silence from the community on the familial murder-suicide that grabbed national headlines for weeks as the police investigation began to reveal a history of abuse and neglect prior to the crash.

100% of the proceeds of Broken Harts project will be donated to Kids At Risk Action ( KARA), a Minnesota-based nonprofit that specializes in children rights on the State, National and World-wide level. Their program CASAMN provides volunteer advocates for abused and neglected children in the Child Protection System.
