I wrote these science-themed songs over the course of three years. Subsequently, while out of work and stuck at home during the COVID-19 pandemic, I had the time to record and share them with you. I chose the International Rescue Committee (IRC) as the beneficiary of this project because they are on the front lines of this pandemic, as it directly impacts the communities the IRC has worked to protect for decades as outlined in their mission statement: “IRC responds to the world's worst humanitarian crises and helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover, and gain control of their future. The IRC focuses on high-impact, cost-effective solutions to help people affected by crisis, while using its learning and experience to shape humanitarian policy, all while focused on breaking down barriers for girls and women.”
