16 years ago I lost my mother to breast cancer. The process of grieving the loss of my biggest supporter, and my best friend, has been a long one.
Although many years have passed, every day I miss the light that she shined into my life. It’s taken some time to realize that the only way to feel that light again, is to let it shine through me and to share it with the world.
“Christmas Without You” is a song I wrote as an expression of this process. It’s dedicated to anyone dealing with loss during the holidays. The lyrics are deeply personal and, hopefully, universally relatable. I hope it brings joy and healing, and honors the memory of loved ones we’ve lost.
