During his childhood, Sebastian was intrigued by Tim Burton films, most notably “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and “Corpse Bride,” and their soundtracks by Danny Elfman. On the other end of his childhood influences lies Shakira, whose music was frequently played at home for his mother to practice belly dancing, as he would also join her. Today, Sebastian’s influences come from the likes of Lana Del Rey, Arca, and Sega Bodega. Prior to dedicating himself to his art, Sebastian had started college majoring in Neuroscience. Soon after, he found that school was hindering his potential and dropped out to put his whole self into his art. O
Markus’ draws his overall artistry from a number of different mediums and outlets. In his music, he not only touches upon universal topics such as love and independence, but also incorporates his way of life into it… from alluding to veganism and animal (and all beings) rights to his love for film and, more recently, his read on Biocentrism.
