D Boone Pittman is a Kentucky country/americana recording artist that writes about the history and culture of his area. Having grown up in the Powell County town of Stanton, it’s as if the lay of the land has soaked into Pittman’s bones. And even when he touches on travails—be they his own or the more collective challenges he addresses for all of our benefit —his love of home pours into every note of his music. Pittman's newest release, Ressurection Noise, is scheduled to drop in September and contains several songs addressing the eastern KY flooding that took the lives of many and displaced so many others.
